Garden of Australian Dreams

Inside the Dream House it felt like an alien habitation - strange doors and the single giant blue lounge in the middle of the room, beneath the suspended metal structure that framed the blue sky. The room is meant to be a symbol of Australia's built environment.I found the room to be one of the more interesting and inviting aspects of the 'garden'. Like most of the symbols in the GOAD, it would not be obvious to me what it was meant to represent unless it was explained. Don't go to the GOAD without a guidebook - otherwise it may seem like a wide open space that's not terribly inviting, and you may find yourself popping in and out within a few minutes. Which makes me wonder, in what sort of history museum should you have to be able to interpret the symbols?

It's a boy!

We had ourselves convinced we were having a girl, so the little fella came as a huge surprise - we are just happy that he and mum are healthy.

After a few false labours, we discovered that the reason this baby wasn't coming out was because he was too big to properly engage - he was delivered by c section on Tuesday 2nd June at 4.13pm - he weighed 11.3 pounds or 5130 gms.
